Privacy notice
Last updated: June 2026
This notice explains how Emma Combes ("I", "me") handles personal information for visitors to emmacombes.com and for clients. I am the data controller for the information described here. Contact: emma@hypnosislondon.uk.
What I collect and why
- Enquiries: if you contact me by the website form, WhatsApp, phone or email, I receive the details you choose to share (typically your name, contact details and what you'd like help with). I use these to reply and to arrange sessions. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.
- Client records: if we work together, I keep session records, kept confidentially in line with the General Hypnotherapy Register's code of ethics. Lawful basis: contract, and consent for any health information you share.
- Newsletter: if you join the monthly note, your email address is used only to send it. You can unsubscribe at any time. Lawful basis: consent.
How messages reach me
- The website contact form is delivered to my email by FormSubmit (a form delivery service). Your message passes through their servers in transit.
- WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own terms.
- This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests files from Google's servers when the page loads.
What I don't do
- This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
- I never sell or share your details for marketing.
- Nothing you tell me in sessions is shared with anyone, except where the law requires it or there is a serious risk of harm — which I would discuss with you wherever possible.
How long I keep information
Enquiry messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry. Client records are retained in line with professional guidance and insurance requirements, then securely deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email emma@hypnosislondon.uk. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
